Cedaredge Wastewater Treatment Facility

JVA completed the design, permitting and construction administration of a 0.375 MGD wastewater treatment facility for the Town of Cedaredge. The project need centered on a Total Maximum Daily Load Assessment (TMDL) for phosphorus to the discharging stream segment. The WWTF consists of a Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR), influent screening, grit removal, disinfection, aerobic digestion, and plant effluent water straining for reuse within the plant site. The Town faced stringent future effluent limits from an EPA mandated TMDL for their discharge waterbody, Fruitgrowers Reservoir. JVA worked closely with the Town through the planning phase, evaluation of existing facilities, development of near and long-term capital improvement plans, preparation of a Preliminary Engineering Report (PER), Site Application, Process Design Report and final design. JVA also worked with the Town to secure a funding package from multiple sources, including a DOLA grant, Small Community Grant, SRF Principal Forgiveness, and an SRF loan.
