Mark Cormier, Structural Principal, Retires From JVA, Inc.

JVA said farewell to Mark Cormier, Structural Principal, who retired from the firm in July. Mark spent his entire 40-year engineering career with JVA after graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Mark’s passion was the design of institutional buildings with emphasis on education and healthcare facilities. His K-12 education experience is second to none and he designed school buildings for nearly every district across the State. Mark was active in Engineers Without Borders, SEAC’s Architectural Liaison Committee and the Standard of Practice Committee for SEAC.

With offices in Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, Winter Park and Glenwood Springs, JVA, Inc. has provided their clients with creative engineering solutions and excellent service since 1956. ENR named JVA 2020 Mountain States Design Firm of the Year and as a legacy firm they enjoy a tradition of well-planned leadership succession.
