JVA became active in parks and recreation
work in the early 1970’s when we designed one
of the first municipal recreation centers in Colorado.
Since that time, our client list has blossomed to include
municipalities, counties, the State of Colorado,
the National Park Service, the YMCA, Boy Scouts of
America, and numerous private camp facilities. Many
of these projects are a natural extension of our gymnasium/field
house experience on K-12 and Higher Education buildings.
JVA has provided structural services on the following
types of projects in states across the country.
- Recreation Centers and Ice Arenas
- Senior Centers
- Camp Lodging and Dining Halls
- Aquatics Parks and Pool Buildings
- Climbing Walls
- Nature Museums
- Entry Stations and Restroom Facilities
- Pavilions, Bandstands, and Shelters
- Hatcheries and Sanctuaries
- Pedestrian Bridges
- Park Signage
