JVA Structural and Civil Engineering

Our extensive experience with office, retail, industrial, technology, laboratory, veterinary, and medical facilities includes a variety of building materials and clients. JVA has provided structural services for NCAR, NIST, NOAA, Ball Corporation, Hewlett Packard, and dozens of technology firms along the Front Range. Our veterinary experience includes over three dozen clinics nationwide.

Parking garage structures are an important segment of this work. This includes simple parking decks, above-grade parking garages, and underground parking garages one to three levels below grade.

JVA’s commercial and retail experience encompasses shopping centers, restaurants, food courts, signage, “big-box” stores, and bank buildings. Much of this work has been out-of-state for national developers and chain restaurants.

While many of these commercial facilities are traditional steel structures, cast-in-place concrete buildings, or light wood frame construction, JVA also has extensive experience with:

Our recent industrial experience includes the AIA award-winning Boulder County Recycling Center, that is noted for being the largest such facility between Chicago and Los Angeles. We’re developing a niche in hazardous materials storage with completed facilities at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and the University of Colorado Health Science Center on the Anschutz Campus in Denver. JVA is particularly proud of our work on Phase I and II of the new Nickel & Nickel Winery in Oakville, Napa Valley, California.
