JVA, Incorporated is a consulting Structural and
Civil Engineering firm headquartered in Boulder, Colorado
with a northern office in
Fort Collins, Colorado, and a mountain office in
Winter Park, Colorado. Since 1956,
JVA has provided Structural Engineering services to
Architects and Owners on building projects throughout
the Rocky Mountain area and nationwide. Our Civil Engineering
department, established in 1999, offers site design,
stormwater, water, and wastewater services that complement
our structural experience and allow us to fully meet
your design and construction needs.
Based on a hands-on approach with active involvement
in all phases of design, JVA’s principals have
over 100 years of combined experience with the firm.
With professional registration in 35 states, our
staff has a working knowledge of a wide range of national
and local building codes. JVA’s success in other
regions is based on tailoring our systems evaluations
and solutions to suit local conditions.
With a reputation for sound judgment and quality documentation,
our staff combines excellent technical skills with
effective communication to facilitate the team approach
on each project. Creative thinking, design sensitivity,
and cost-efficient engineering lead to innovative,
yet practical, solutions that fit within architectural
parameters and site constraints.
Our commitment to service is best exemplified
by a client’s endorsement that “JVA is
consistently the most service-oriented and responsive
consultant of any firm on the design team.” We
approach projects using a big picture view, keeping the
best interests of the Owner in mind. Our experience with
traditional bid projects, CMGC relationships,
fast-track construction, and design-build teaming allows
JVA to proactively avoid problems and achieve team goals.
JVA’s emphasis on continuing education and training
ensures our experienced technical staff can effectively
use the latest design and production tools. Revit and Civil
3D are two of the programs we use to compliment, enhance
or replace traditional AutoCAD drawings. Staying at
the forefront of Building Information Modeling (BIM) enhances
coordination with architects, contractors and other disciplines.
